The students and staff of Walnut Township Schools had a great day yesterday thanks to the Millersport Lions Club! The Lions sent some unexpected cheer to all of the students and staff of the district. Each student got a treat bag of 10-15 pieces of candy and faculty and staff got some candy too! All of the goodie bags were separated by class and attendance group (purple and gold). The junior high and high school students will receive their goodies when they return to school in January.

In total, the Lions donated nearly 9000 pieces of candy (86.46 pounds) to the students and staff, including the district office. Owens Corning Analytical Laboratory donated 22.5 pounds of candy towards the cause.

The Lions also gave Christmas/Holiday cards to each district teacher and staff member letting them know how much they appreciate their hard work and dedication to the children of Walnut Township.

Thank you to the Millersport Lions! The students, faculty, and staff appreciate your gifts and all you do for our community!
