Important Information about Your Child’s School Meals

 If you have a child in kindergarten through twelfth grade in your household who was receiving free or reduced-price meals while in school, your child is eligible for the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits as a result of the school closure.

During the ordered school-building closure period, schools may continue to receive reimbursement for meals served by participating in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) or the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Schools may operate as open, restricted open or targeted outreach sites. Refer to the map and map site key for available meal service in your area. Contact your school or district for details about their meal programs.

Open.png Open – all children ages 1-18 may receive a meals at these sites.

Restricted-Open.png Restricted Open – children ages 1-18 may receive meals at these sites. The daily number of meals served at this location is capped (due to capacity constraints like using a vendor for meals).

TargetedOutreach.png Targeted Outreach – These sites are doing targeted outreach of meals. Households may contact the school or district for more information about meal service at these sites.

Suspicious Activity

Due to recent suspicious activity on the grounds of Walnut Township Local Schools occurring after dark, the exterior facilities  will only be open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We ask the community to report any suspicious activity to the Millersport Police Department or Fairfield County Sheriff's Office to prevent any vandalism, destruction of property or illegal activity from occurring. Thank you for your support in ensuring the protection of the school grounds.

Updated 2019-2020 School Calendar

At the April 6, 2020 Board of Education meeting the school board approved a modified calendar for the remainder of the school year.  The new calendar eliminates Spring Break and will move the last day of school up by three days.  The changes can be seen in the attached document.
