Mrs. Schroeder received her Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Language Arts from Ashland University in 2001. After briefly working as a substitute teacher, she became the 11th and 12th grade English teacher at Millersport High School, where she is currently in her 14th year of teaching. In 2006, she earned her Master’s Degree from Otterbein College with a specialization in K-12 Reading. Her Masters Capstone about silent sustained reading was published in The Journal of Teacher Initiated Research and
received a Phi Delta Kappa Research Award. In 2008, Mrs. Schroeder
became a National Board Certified Teacher and was named an Ohio Master
Teacher. She is also a teacher consultant with the Columbus Area Writing Project, a contributor to Choice Literacy, and a member of The National Council of Teachers of English She
also serves as the advisor for the Walnut Township Chapter of the National Honor Society. Mrs. Schroeder
resides in Columbus with her husband, Pete, and daughters,
Sophie and Margaret.
