Mr. Hines

I grew up in Hilliard, Ohio and attended Hilliard Davidson High School.  I continued pursuing my collegiate education at Bowling Green State University with a focus in Adolescent to Young Adult Integrated Language Arts.  I graduated in 2011 and substitute taught in northern Ohio for a semester before securing a teaching position at Sidney High school.  I taught varying levels of English 10 courses there for three years while coaching boys and girls varsity bowling. I was also the hurdles coach of Sidney's track team for one year.  I recently moved back to the central Ohio area.

My personal hobbies include occasional fitness and sporting activities, reading, spending time with my friends, and consuming copious amounts of coffee.  I enjoy my profession and am always trying to find new ways to benefit and entertain my students in the classroom.  My favorite literary pieces to teach are "The Wasteland" by T.S. Eliot and Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger.

“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” -Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.
