Mr. Mohler graduated from Capital University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Music
Education Degree. He holds a Masters of
Performance Degree and has completed additional studies at
Heidelberg College,
The University of Dayton,
The Ohio State University,
Otterbein College,
Ohio University,
Elmhurst College,
and Ashland College.
He recently received a
Masters in Educational Media Design Technology Science
through Full Sail
University. A student of Lewis
Whikehart, John Goldsmith, Erik Christiansen, and Gene Allen
of the Metropolitan Opera, Mr. Mohler has appeared in local
television commercials as well as professional and community
theatre productions. Mr. Mohler worked at
Stanton’s Sheet Music before accepting the position at
Millersport. He was hired in 1984 as the
vocal music specialist for grades 1-8. In
1991 he was made director of choral activities for grades
K-12. Mr. Mohler founded The Millersport
Select (the first children’s choir in Fairfield County). His
show choirs (The Junior High Select Show Choir and The
Illumination) have won and placed in competitions throughout
Ohio and the surrounding states. The groups have travelled
throughout the Ohio area and have consistently received
superior and excellent ratings at local and State
adjudicated events. They have served as guest performers at
the Ohio Music
Educators Association conference and have performed for
the International Sertoma
Conference as well as in Washington, D.C., and New York
City.
