Miss Harkabus graduated from Capital University in May, 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Music with an emphasis in Education.  After graduation, Miss Harkabus began teaching 5^th-12^th grade instrumental music for the Walnut Township Local Schools at Millersport Elementary School and Millersport Jr./Sr. High School.  While teaching, she also obtained her Masters Degree in Music Education from Boston University.  Miss Harkabus is currently in her sixth year of teaching in Millersport.

    Outside of school, Miss Harkabus plays her tuba with the Grove City Community Winds under the direction of Mr. James Swearingen.  Miss Harkabus enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to the western part of the United States (specifically New Mexico), and eating Mexican food.  She also enjoys running 5Ks and 10Ks (especially for charity events) and is currently training to run a half-marathon and full marathon.  Miss Harkabus resides in Pickerington, Ohio with her cat Snickers.
