Mrs. Anderson received a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics
Education from Ohio University.
She achieved a master’s degree in
Family and Consumer
Sciences Education from
The Ohio State University in 1995. Mrs. Anderson
is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership
from North Central University.
Mrs. Anderson began teaching full time in 1997 at Jonathan
Alder High School in Plain City, OH. She began her
teaching career at Millersport in 2001. Mrs. Anderson
became a National Board
Certified Teacher in 2002 and a
Master Teacher in 2008. She is currently a
Jennings Scholar
representing Walnut Twp. And Millersport Schools.
Mrs. Anderson has been an active member of the
Ohio Education Association
serving as President and Treasurer of the Walnut Twp.
Education Association. She has also served on the
Professional Development Committee, the Awards Committee,
the Emerging Leaders Committee, the Convention Planning
Committee, and the Reach Out and Read Committee of the
Central Ohio Association, the Convention Planning Committee
of the state Association, and the Resolutions Committee of
the National Education Committee. Mrs. Anderson is
also a member of the Ohio and American Association of Family
and Consumer Sciences. She is the current president of
District D of the Ohio Association, serves on the state
board and is a chairperson for the 2010 National Association
Conference. She is the Fairfield County host and a
planning committee member of the governor’s Momentum 2010
conference this year. Mrs. Anderson also belongs to
the National and Ohio Associations for Teachers of Family
and Consumer Sciences, and the National and Ohio Vocational
Education Associations. She is a member of
Phi Upsilon Omicron, and
Pi Lambda Theta
Sororities. Mrs. Anderson has also been a Real Estate Agent
with Fox Realty in Lancaster since 1991. Mrs. Anderson
resides in Lancaster with her husband, Chris. While
being a stay at home mom and raising their four children,
Mrs. Anderson was active in their children’s school, sport,
and musical and dramatic arts performances at school serving
as room mother, secretary of the music boosters, member and
refreshment committee of the drama boosters, and as a
chaperone for several school functions and trips. She
was a member of the Lancaster Parent’s League and served as
chair of the graduation party in 1994.
