Randy Cotner, Superintendent

Mr. Cotner graduated from Ball State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Mathematics. Randy also has a Master’s Degree in Administration from the University of Dayton and superintendent’s licensure through Ashland University. He is in his 33rd year of education; 10 years as a math teacher/coach (Football, Basketball, Baseball and Tennis, including 5 years as the Head Basketball Coach at Hamilton Twp. High School from 1987-1992) and 23 years in administration.  Mr. Cotner has been a superintendent for 7 years the last three as superintendent of Walnut Twp. Local Schools.

Mr. Cotner enjoys playing and watching all sports, especially water-skiing and tennis. Mr. Cotner lives in Canal Winchester with his wife of 30 years, Barbara. He also has two college age kids, Kyle and Allie.



Christy Moore, Treasurer

Christy graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Leadership in Education Administration. She has worked in the school system for 23 years in a variety of positions within the Treasurer’s Office.

Christy has been married to her husband, Joe, for almost 30 years. They have one son, Tyler, who attends Miami University in Oxford. Christy enjoys working with the teens in the youth group at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Chillicothe. She also enjoys swimming, reading and getting together with friends and family. But, most of all, she loves cheering on her Kentucky Wildcats basketball team! Go Cats!


Brenda Amspaugh, Assistant Treasurer/Payroll Clerk

Brenda is a 1979 graduate of Millersport High School. She and her husband, Terry, reside in Millersport.  They have two children, Josh and Jessica, who are also Millersport High School graduates.  In addition to her duties at WTLS she is a member and serves as financial secretary for the Fairfield Beach United Methodist Church.  She enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

She has been employed by Walnut Township Local Schools in several capacities since 1998.




Heather Terry, Superintendent’s Secretary/Student Services

Heather was raised in Millersport where she loves to be out on the lake boating.  She attended the Millersport Schools for 13 years and graduated from Millersport High School.  Heather is  married to Jeff Terry and has three children, Jennifer Blevins, Kristin Keller and Justin Terry, who all graduated from Millersport High School.  She has two granddaughters, Emily and Ava Blevins and will soon have a third granddaughter, Kenlea Nichole Keller.  She loves spending time with her family and especially loves being a grandmother.  She loves, camping, swimming, boating, shopping  and sports.   Heather was the Secretary at the Fairfield County Educational Service Center for three years and then stayed home for 10 years to raise her children.  She was the secretary at Millersport High School for 15 years and has been the Secretary to the Superintendent  and EMIS Coordinator for the past 6 1/2 years.
