Mrs. Neely

First Grade

   Mrs. Neely was born in Brownsville, Pa and moved to Champion, Ohio in 1968. She graduated from Champion High school in 1977. While in high school she was the president of the Future Teachers of America and subbed for the elementary teachers when needed. Having a love for education from a young age, Mrs. Neely earned a teaching certificate from Kent state University for grades K-3. Upon graduation she was hired as a Title 1 reading teacher with Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Warren Ohio. She remained employed with the school and taught grades Prek-3, gifted reading and math, as well as art and religion until the doors closed in 2004. Mrs. Neely moved to Thurston Ohio in 2005 and worked with the Reynoldsburg schools as a latchkey director overseeing five schools. She was also a day care director with Rainbow Station Day Care in Reynoldsburg Ohio. She graduated from Ashford University with a BA in Social Science and Early Childhood Education and a minor in Child Development. She also has a Master degree in Elementary Education grades K-8. Mrs. Neely and her husband Mike Neely reside in Lancaster, Ohio. She has three children Lance, Nicole, and Maria and two step-sons Shane and Cory. She has 12 grandchildren.
Mrs. Neely is entering her 33rd year of teaching, and her 7th year of teaching first grade at Millersport Elementary school.
